THE TRIPPY HIPPY BAND were Joe Flower, Harmony Breeze, Rose of Cimarron, Yossarian and the one and only Billy Shears, and together they performed a mostly stoned tribute to the folk music of the 1960s. This earnestly funny live act quickly drew accolades from around Australasia in their short 3 year reign. They looked like the 60s, they sounded like the 60s (boy, did they sound like the 60s!) and with their range of hippy costumes and instruments, they brilliantly recreated the vibe of the music and the times. The Trippy Hippy Band were one of the world's top lineups paying homage to the 1960s Summer of Love era, The Trippy Hippy Band appealed to a broad range of audiences: from anyone young or old who just enjoyed a great band, to die-hard 60s fans who appreciated a good joint and attention to hippie culture - there was something for everyone! Joe & Harmony miss their Trippy Hippy family a lot.
